Hello Grubbers!
Thank you to everyone who made Grub #2 such a success! Check out the entry below to see the wonderful dishes that people brought.
Grub #3 will take place on March 8th. Spring equinox will be just around the corner, so we've chosen Spring Cleaning as our theme.
What food lover doesn't have a special ingredient or two hoarded in the back of her cupboard? That tin of vanilla salt, that packet of saffron you brought back from Spain, that bag of buckwheat flour or that little jar of linseed oil you bought at the market and haven't touched since?
Your task for March is to make a dish based on what's in your cupboards. Rather than starting with a recipe, begin with what's already there. Use this occasion to spark your creativity and make room for a new season.
What to bring: In addition to your edible contribution, bring dishware for yourself (plate/bowl/glass/cutlery) and everything you need to serve your dish (serving bowl/platter/utensils). Couples should also bring a bottle of organic wine, juice, or a few beers.
When: March 8th, 2008, 6 pm (We'll continue the tradition we started at Grub #2 of having everyone introduce themselves and say a few words about the dish they've brought. Come on time so we can all share a meal together.)
